Disciplinary Actions
Disciplinary actions can only be taken after a complaint is reported to the Admiral of the Fleet, or his appointed Master at Arms. After a complaint is filed, it will be investigated to determine the facts. If it appears that a punishable infraction has occurred, a court martial will be held.
This court martial will consist of the supervising Vice Admiral or Admiral of the Fleet who will chair the court martial proceedings. Two other members will hear the case, one of which is to be appointed by the Chair, one by the defendant. Upon hearing the case, the Chairman will rule within 14 days to either acquit the accused, require further investigation to better determine the facts of the matter; or, if found guilty, administer punishment.
Punishments include:
- Being removed from active duty for a certain amount of time, to be specified by the court martial.
- Being demoted.
- Being permanently removed from active duty.
- Other sanctions agreed upon by all three members of the Court Martial.
